Watching it now on BBC1, pretty cool she is in it, but damn she has aged a lot..
And I have to laugh at her posh English accent after hearing her voice in Star Trek.. Why people of her calibre keep choosing to act in these trashy UK hospital dramas is beyond me lol.
Of course she aged a lot, TNG started 21 years ago! She looks amazing for 50s that's for sure!
BBC isn't trashy, it holds a lot of appeal for many. Personally I don't understand the appeal, but that's just because US TV looks more glamourous.
As for the accent, I suppose she was partly trying not to sound American[ised], and partly thought that's how the character would speak. Either that, or following orders from the director(s).
