Home Alone 2
was up early and the wife and I were watching the beginning of Home Alone 2. My wife goes... "That's Ally Sheedy" and ofcourse I said thats impossible, her career couldn't be in the toilet in 1992, but i guess i was wrong.

shareI don't think her career was "in the toilet" at that point...she was simply doing a cameo in that film as a favor to the film's director, with whom she had worked with in "The Breakfast Club".
shareYeah, she had a cameo in the film as the NY Ticket Seller (whatever that person was). Macauly (however you spell it) comes up to her desk and asks what city is that outside and she says, "New York". She might've done it for two reasons:
1. John Hughes was writer and producer and they worked together on Breakfast Club.
2. Chris Columbus directed her in Only the Lonely the year before, which Hughes produced.
