Wish he'd do more serious stuff

He was hilarious in step brothers that movie always cracks me up and was the highlight i guess of dewey cox but i'd wish he'd do more serius stuff he was brilliant in magnolia many people have stated how unnoticed and underrated his performance was and in chicago to his performance was top notch i'd wish he'd do more serious drama and stop doing these mediocre comedies because he can do better

I kinda agree. He's had several other serious rolls in the past that were really good. But i'm also happy for him to be more popular due to the success of recent comedies.

Me too, I do like him in comedies, but prefer him in more serious stuff.

yea like Sydney/Hard Eight that is a seriously underrated film! iv always said this guys is an actors actor when in the serious roles, on par with guys like William H. Macy and Bryan Cranston, some of his comedy roles have turned out good like talladega nights but hes doing too much of the silly stuff now i think.
