He is a blue-ribbon jerk. I met him at the It Might Get Loud premiere in Westwood, and I can say that he is about the meanest person out there. He refuses to sign autographs, and pretends like he will take a picture with you, but when you go to pull out your camera, he is already half way down the block. He is an ass.
shareI met John C. Reilly in JFK airport on August 7 after coming in from Nantucket on a Jet Blue flight. I was very polite and introduced myself. Wow! What a bitter cold person. He looked at me like, why the hell are you bothering me. You would think he would appreciate fans like me, after all, we make him able to do what he does.

Exactly. Without his fans, he would be nothing. It's to bad that he is to much of a self-centered prick to realize this.
shareIf I was famous, I'd probably get sick of my fans too if I'd been in the game as long as he has. Fans don't realise how annoying they are most of the time (I'm not excluded from this, when I see a celeb I like I turn into alvin the chipmunk on crack).

In defence of John and other celbs sometimes they just don't want to be bothered(and you can not fault them for that)
No matter how polite you are to them sometimes they just want to be left alone . If you where a real fan of his you would respect that wish and not post hatful messages on the internet. Would you want people just coming up to you at random talking to you NO YOU WOULD NOT.
I have been within 2 feet of one really famous young actor and witnessed how annoying fans can be even when they are not intending to be annoying.I have seen how annoying and down right pushy fans can be even when they don't even realize they are doing it.

I got the same JERK ASS treatment from him. I said hello and he makes me laugh then he looked at me without saying a word back and he sized me up then completely ignored me as if I didn't even exist or said anything to him. What a BIG JERK!!!... IT was a a public event where he was promoting his movie so it wasn't like I interupted his dinner or it was his private time. The dude came out to promote his film and should talk to the public.... I will never watch his movies again. I can't believe anyone is so impolite. The guy is a douche bag!... I have heard from several people too that he is very rude. The guy should be grateful he has fans at all. He has mediocre talent and is in no way a looker. He need to get over himself. What a Douche!
