Reilly makes Jim Kurring in Magnolia likeable

Jim Kurring was going to be a pretty annoying & dumb character in Magnolia, right?

But John C. Reilly makes Kurring likeable

Here is an article about Reilly's performance http://7films.me.uk/cinephile-night/7-unusual-stars-from-magnolia-cine phile-nights/

Do you agree that Reilly saved the role??

He didn't save the role, but he played it well.

I'm almost positive the role was written for him so it wasn't really saved by him just done justice by him. PTA's goal when writing Magnolia was for it to Ne a small movie that him and his friends could play. That's why do many of the characters in that were in Boogie Nights. So John C. probably had the role written for him which might be why it stood out.

I really like John C. reilly but I couldn't stand his character in Magnolia. He did an excellent job of playing a d}ckhead/unlikeable guy.
