So sad he died, but I've been inspired.
I walked into my grandparents house and he said "one of the guys who wrote Ghostbusters died." I replied that it was random. I check IMDB every day to see the birthdays and news. I had not seen anything about it. So I went into his office and checked. I had just seen a thing on the filming of the Vacation movie. So it really shocked me.
For a long while I have been looking at Second City. I am 29 now, but I still have one thing left to finish for high school. I think I do. The place never gets back to me. But, I would love to have the kind of job he did. I have a copyright on a cartoon and am writing a series of books. I also live to do improv. A friend and I used to go back and forth with random stuff. Lots of fun. So, I am going to apply to Second City! I want to take writing and the improv thing. His death punched me in the face and made me realize that though it will be hard to leave my family, it is worth it if I really want to do it.
It may be harder than it is for some. I had a brain injury in 03 and was left with like 8% of my vision and no smell. But I am sure they have cabs that can drive me around. Once I see the location of everything, I should be good. Since my accident, SS pays for my school. Plus, I was the Johnson and Johnson baby WAAAY back in the early 90s. I got money toward college from that as well. haha What a nerd. So, to Mr. Ramis I say thank you. Thank you for all the laughs you created and helped create and for inspiring me to finally do what I know I was meant to do. Here is to my hit movie being dedicated to you and your family!!!!
