"GI Joe" was okay but I agree that "Horsemen" and "Pandorum" were both pieces of garbage.

I think it may have something to do with the fact that there just aren't that many leading roles out there for a Dennis Quaid (mid-50s, not necessarily known for drama or action, not known to pick up a lot of work in smaller roles).

"G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" was (in my humble opinion) horrible, but I wouldn't lay the blame for that at the feet of Quaid (or any of the actors, really). Didn't see "Pandorum", largely because it looks like it is 'Event Horizon 2.0'. Had not heard of "Horsemen". "Vantage Point" is...well, I think that Dennis Quaid's performance is about the only thing worthwhile in the movie.

Sure, I would love for Quaid to do another movie the quality of "Breaking Away" (has it really been 30 years?). Or take a smaller role like in "Postcards from the Edge". But he is still working in mainstream films, getting top billing, and while he may not be choosing the best material, he is still giving quality performances.

Color me a Dennis Quaid apologist if you will.

I'll still give that a chance. Won't be out for almost another year.

Pandorum best sci fi of the decade..

Pandorum is the good "version" of Event Horizon. I liked it, although it's not as good as some preach it to be.

Event Horizon sucked, and its completely different to Pandorum aside from the fact they are both set in space.
