It amazes me at how many roles this guy gets, he is just so bland in everything. I don't dislike him, he is just so boring to me and bland. I am trying to think of a great performance by him and cannot come up with anything. I guess everybody will bring up Doc Holliday, I guess it is his one.
shareI don't know how old you are,or what movies you thought Dennis was bland in. but he has been in over 50 movies in 34 years. Like every actor or actress, he has been in some bombs, but even in the bombs, he was anything but bland. the following are some of his best movies. If you ever see any of these movies, you will see how versatile he is, and how he gets into the characters' psyches.
While he was excellent in Wyatt Earp, he had many more great performances. Breaking Away he was fabulous as a rebellious college student. Right Stuff he was astronaut Gordon Cooper, and blended humor and drama. Big Easy he played a New Orleans detective who was very unorthodox and extremely sexy. He played a complex loner in Flesh & Blood in 1993, a mercenary in Savior in 1998, A Fireman caught in a time warp in 2000 in Frequency, an over the hill baseball player who gets a second chance in the Rookie, and a closeted gay husband in the 1950's in Far From Heaven, for which he won a Golden Globe.
He is good in being hot.
