What if the Funny or Die spot was staged after the fact to cover-up the real video? Ha!
No, seriously I don't believe that. The Funny or Die video was obviously too elaborate to have been thrown together in the course of 24 hours. I have to say that the original video, while I was skeptical of it, was pretty convincing: Quaid's acting was totally believable and they made the "cellphone video" look like it was legit (very poor lighting, moving the camera down toward the lap, etc.)
