Does anyone know if Dennis Quaid ever had issues with drugs? Someone I know says he had an issue with cocain but I never heard of this.

Dennis did have a cocaine problem in the late 80's, but went to rehab before his marriage to Meg Ryan. He has been clean since 1991.
shareDennis went to rehab in 1990. Meg would not agree to marry him until he was drug free. They were married on Valentine's Day in 1991. To this day, even after their divorce, he still gives credit to Meg with helping him kick the drug habit.

shareHe has not been back in rehab since then. I have seen Dennis in person performing with his group the Sharks, and I have talked to him in person as well. He was friendly and considerate to all of his fans. He did not look strung out on drugs. I have read countless written and television interviews and he has talked about how he has been clean since 1991. He is also a father of a 16 year old boy and 6 month old twins and has never showed any example of not being able to care for them. In fact he went through a harrowing experience of his twins almost dying from a big hospital mixup. They have recovered nicely, so if that didn't drive him to take drugs again, nothing will.
