Favorite Role

What would your favorite Pryce role be? Mine would be Seamus O’Rourke, the Irish terrorist from Ronin - Pryce played him with such enthusiasm and fervor. He was a truly creepy and excellantly played villain. What are your favorite roles of his, and/or good performances that I should see?

Personally I love his performance as Juan Peron in Evita (I am a sucker for musicals and I love his voice). Although its not a major role i felt he performed it such that it became an essential role. It was the first role I had ever seen him in and i was so impressed and now, even though i still havent seen as many of his performances as i would like, he is one of my favourite actors.

I also enjoyed his Elliot Carver during his stint as a Bond villain. Actually one of my favourite Bond films as a result (generally I prefer the Moore or Connery films).

As Lytton Strachey I felt he was excellent and thouroughly deserved the Awards for the role. I love the scene when the cork pops from the champagne bottle and he says "War musst be dreadfull!" (or something along those lines) Wonderfull.

Actually I just saw Brazil two days ago and loved it. Jonathan Pryce was brilliant. Both a comic yet serious actor at the same time. fantastic!!!!!!!!!!

Without a doubt Sam Lowry in Brazil.

Jonathan was brilliant in that role. He didn't go overboard with it & that was perfect for the discreet (yet ridiculous) humor.

one of my favorite movies as well
