George Hickenlooper's Casino Jack diary

Before George passed away back in late October he did a diary of sorts about his experiences in directing "Casino Jack". He talks about almost everything, but what stood out for me was his comments about Kelly Preston. He apparently was always a big fan of hers. Here's his comments about Kelly:

Working with one of my favorite actresses of all time. Kelly Preston is a remarkable human being and a great dramatic actress. It was a privilege as a director to tap into this part of her. Rarely do I make a kind of spiritual con- nection with my cast. Kelly was a wonderful exception. She is truly very special and I adore her.

That just shows that George had good taste. It's a real shame he passed away at such a young age. Never getting to see his movie released nationwide.

It is a shame he died so young. He was a very promising film maker.
