I too do not see what relevance this has to the recently deceased actor. Perhaps he's simply angry that Pete Postelwaight's cancer could not be cured and is resorting to attack on the church.
While I agree somewhat with what you're saying, it's personal choice where a persons hard earned money goes and I really think other issues deserve more attention at present than space travel such as providing shelter and education for the poor. But I don't know if this is the time or the place for such a discussion.
