Tonight Show host said on TV he wanted to see her boobs

Back in 1977, Tonight Show host Johnny Carson joked that he’d “give about a year’s pay to peek under there” referring to seeing her boobs. It was hilarious.

These days he’d be destroyed in social media and fired. Sadly.

I agree. In the craziness we deal with now, he would be dragged through media mud for months for this, and I also agree it would be disgusting and sad. He was clearly smitten with her. That was obvious every time she appeared on his show.

Side note....I do think there was so much focus put on her boobs that people lost sight of the fact she had one of the most exquisitely beautiful faces in show business.

she really did. her face was near perfect.

the first time i noticed this was not too l ong ago actually when i caught a replay of her 60 minutes interview on youtube. i think it was somewhere from 88-92 which would put her around age 50. i just sat staring at the screen totally distracted by her face thinking, 'damn, she is completely divine'

i caught it on the australian 60 minutes youtube channel, ironically. not sure if it's on the american channel.

if you check out pics of paige spirinak she favors dolly in her prime, IMO. also hilary duff, face only, favors dolly's face in her prime. they are all three beautiful.

damn, now i need to go take a cold shower from typing this lol

Hilary Duff has that same wholesome, innocent beauty like Dolly. There's something intangible those two have, and it comes across their faces. There are plenty of beautiful women in the world, but they lack that. Paige falls in that group in my opinion.

I think mid to late 1970s (her early 30s) Dolly is her prime. She was off the charts with her physical beauty in that insulting Barbara Walters interview in 1977. She came across as composed and classy too. I admire the smiling jujutsu Dolly performed on Baba Wawa who came across as classist, patronising, and rude.

Edited to add that I will look up that 60 Minutes interview you mentioned. Thanks for the heads up.
