You can be rich and be a good person, but I think it's harder if you've never known anything but wealth. My great uncle is worth $60 million+ and is one of the most generous and kind people I know, but he also was not raised rich, and I think that makes the difference. Gwyneth has never known anything but opulence, and it shows in her character; not only that, but she was also raised with a sense of self-exceptionalism by her parents, which is also a big part of why people want to knock her ass out— plainly put, she's a self-righteous bitch.

It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't reveal her absurd worldview constantly to major publications, but her self-aggrandizing statements and total lack of understanding of everyday people makes her understandably detestable to the general public. The worst part is that she thinks she's some sort of aristocrat, but when you actually hear her talk she sounds uneducated and stupid, like a high schooler trying to be a this high-class bourgey society girl who is too dumb to really appropriate it.
