Jennifer Lawrence has been branded a zany silly down to earth fun loud mouth...she can get by with saying vulgar stuff because she's cute and has the personality to pull it off..she never comes across as mean, she's just funny and quick witted. If you read some of the stuff JL says in print only without knowing her personality, then she might seem a lot different.
Gwyneth has never had that personality..she's from a rich family and probably never had to struggle much for anything. She spouts off those food comments and stuff which people from all walks of life see and it appears offensive because not everyone can feed their kid organic caviar with fresh picked lemons or whatever she eats.
I don't know much about her Goop stuff, but my guess is it's aimed more toward wealthy folks. But people who aren't as wealthy see her, products and see her comments and get frustrated with her because to people who work 2 jobs just to put food on the table it seems like GWyneth is insanely out of touch with reality.
For example, her food stamp challenge. I can understand what she was trying to do and realize she had good intentions, but in my opinion it went horribly wrong for her.
For one thing, I've read most families get more than $29...And most people who use welfare do so for survival. This was Gwyneths mistake..she didn't go into it as a survival challenege. She went into it as herself, who is wealthy. She didn't place herself in someone else's shoes who truly struggle.
While not exactly healthy foods, someone who is truly struggling will buy more practical items. You can get several boxes of Ramen noodles very cheap. I pretty much lived on these at one point and I still buy them when funds are low. You can get other filling foods as well for $29. No, these foods aren't organic and healthy, but most people who are trying to survive don't care if something is organic or not when it comes down to it.
GP bought what? 5 limes, some leafy greens, and some other bull shxt stuff that wouldn't feed a mouse. Her purchases reeked of wealthy person out of touch with reality.
So while she had good intentions, her execution came off incredibly pretentious.
But in interview I've seen of her she doesn't seem as bad as she does in print.
I think her heart is in the right place, but she has no idea what us common folk face in the real world.
That said, like I mentioned before, her products and stuff are probably actually aimed at wealthy folks though.
