Just met him an hour ago!

I went to a Michael Caine q & a at the toronto film festival, and when they turned to the audience for questions, someone stood up to ask for advice about acting and turns out it was Sam Neill! Michael recognized him immediately. He was very humble and polite and came across exactly as you would expect. Afterwards he was talking to people a bit in the lobby, he seemed very shy, but shook his hand and told him I was a fan of his work.

Michael Caine was everything you'd want him to be, the interviewer didn't even need to ask questions, he had so many amazing stories to tell.

Yay, that's awesome! :D

Funny how one actor asks another for advice about acting! *giggle* I wouldn't have thought Sam needed advice!

Wait...Sam Neill asking for acting tips? Sam Neill, the guy who has been in one of the (adjusted for inflation) biggest movies of all time?

I dunno, not saying it didn't happen, just sounds really weird to me lol

Whats that got to do with acting? According to that Tom Cruise would be an actor, just because he shoots one succesful blockbuster after another.

Neill is a very prolific and experienced craftsman, but it s never too late to learn, to ask for advice, especially in this job.

I once asked Sam Neill for advice about acting. I believe it was at the Montreal Film Festival.

"Just keep that stupid look on your face," he told me. "Maybe they'll put you in one of those teenaged movies that are all about farting."

What a great guy!

I was in Las Vegas at the end of September 2010 and ran into Sam at the Hoover Dam. He was filming a TV commercial. He's a really nice down to earth guy.
