Why is he so old now?
I remember him when he was younger and far better looking. WHAT HAPPENED SAM, how come your so old now??? There are actors that used to be older than him and now look younger, I just dont get it.

shareUmmmm, I'd guess....time, perhaps???
Next question...
Yes, as hanneybean said, TIME MAKES PEOPLE OLDER...duh...
And anyway, in my opinion, I think he's aged gracefully, and possibly even got better with age (like his wine ).
But of course he was 'better-looking' when he was younger, everyone is! What a ridiculous comment to make, JamesMalfoy-Sparks...
Use every means you have at your disposal to achieve what you desire
Time. Yes. That's a clue. C'mon, he turned 59 yesterday, and still looks great! Not everyone does! Also, those people you say are older than him but look younger - most (all?) of them have had cosmetic surgery. Sam hasn't, and he doesn't seem to be interested in it either. That's one of the reasons I admire him, actually. :)

People get older...just the way it tends to go! Age is only a number people, or at least that's the way I see it. Plus, I find mature men a hell of a lot more attractive, I just dig their wisdom and confidence and their look. Many of 'em, especially Sam, give younger men a run for their money, especially in the acting department.
It's a Geoffrey Rush thing, you wouldn't understand! Captain of Team Barbossa
Couldn't agree with you more! :)
In fact, the screenplay I'm working on for ScriptFrenzy.org is about that; age just being a number! Well, technically, it's about a man of Sam's age who falls in love with a woman who is about... well... half his age.
It's funny though, that some women, even though it's more common to fancy people around your own age just prefer 'em older. Okay, some prefer 'em younger, but I'm not one of them. For me it's along the lines of "I'm not attracted to boys, I'm attracted to MEN!" - from a psychological point of view, maybe I have some sort of father figure craving. (Weird tho, as I have a father, and a great one at that.) Dunno. *shrugs*

Getting close to 60 and honestly, with the exception of his hair, he looks the same as he did in Jurassic Park.
