Got my Birds of Prey DVD's yesterday

I'm trying not to watch them all at once. I have not seen them since the last episode aired so its like watching them all for the first time. I would have preferred no Wade, at least no romance with Barbara, and while I like the Reese character it would have been nice if they didn't have Helena get all "girly" over him. The show might have taken off, Xena cult status, if they followed the same formula. Kick a$$ women, check, subtext, I've only watched two eps so far, and if they had not so blatantly made Barbara go all girly as soon as he walked into her classroom........well there is some subtext between Huntress and Oracle. Still the series started not long after Xena ended so they had a whole lot of lesbians with nothing else to catch our eye, so WB failed to tap into that audience. I'm not saying they had to turn them into lesbians, but like Xena they could have made it so everyone got a lil sum summ'm.

I'm going to enjoy the DVD's anyway, then turn to some excellent fan-fiction where Barbara and Helena are a smokin' hot couple.
