Andrew McCarthy in Liquid Sky?

I recently watched a rather old crappy Sci-Fi movie called Liquid Sky (1982). In it, there is a character who drugs and rapes a woman in the beginning section and I'm quite sure that the role is played by Andrew McCarthy. He also sound exactly like Blaine from Pretty in Pink. Is this an uncredited role for Andrew McCarthy? I'm attaching a screenshot from the movie so you can see.

I could be wrong but I don't think that the person in the screenshot is Andrew McCarthy. The person looks a little like Andrew but I don't believe it is him.

If you take a look at pictures of Andrew in 1982 when he made his first movie Class, you can see a significant difference.

I also don't think he would play that type of role either.
