What's the movie?
Is there a film where Jack Lemmon plays a salesman? I'm trying to identify a movie and I think Jack Lemmon was in it. Very intense dialogue. Thanks.

shareGlengarry Glen Ross (1992) - a very intense movie and Jack plays salesman Shelley Levene.

Must be the movie I guess. Thanks.
There's also another movie involving Jack. No idea what that is. Seems to take place in some kind of building.
Could be The Apartment (1960)? He didn't play a salesman in that though - an insurance clerk - but it's a classic. Depends what you remember on what happened in the building. But The Apartment (1960) takes place in a huge office building for about 60% of the picture.

Hm, that's a bit vague, isn't it?
The Apartment is a possibility, like MissSugarKane suggested.
Perhaps The Prisoner of Second Avenue, which takes place in a large apartment building.

Rome. By all means, Rome.
I don't think it's The Apartment. I think Jack is in it - not sure. Someone gets killed in the movie- I think. I think it involves a mayor and police chief. It's a bit of a strange plot, if my memory serves me well. My memory a bit nebulous about the movie.
Oh, I wonder if it's the "Front Page" Might be. In fact, I believe it is.
Yes, the plot of The Front Page (1974) throughout takes place in a large newspaper building. It was about an "insane" accused murderer whose up for a hanging because of his crimes. The mayor gets accidentally shot by the murderer in the newspaper building. A great Lemmon/Matthau comedy!

Actually, it's the press room in a criminal court building. (They wouldn't have a hanging on a newspaper lot, would they?)

Hmmm, you're right of course...well, they type newspaper articles there, that's good enough for me! I ought to get my DVD out of this again because I really loved it. Only saw it once when I bought it. The ending line from Matthau was a great ending! The one about the watch!
