Offensively left off Emmy In Memoriam

Christopher Lee left an incredible legacy and did tons of great television. Yet the Emmys leave him off their In Memoriam list. For shame, Emmys, for shame.

Well I can tell you that The Emmys have completely lost any sort of respect I may have had for them in the past. Lee was such a true talent who it seemed was constantly working in film, whether good or bad, for decades upon decades in the industry. He deserves the utmost respect for all he brought to film and ultimately to all of us fans.

A totally shameless and disrespectul omission to one of the true greats of cinema. Screw you to The Emmys I say!

Well, I'm not going to say that Christopher Lee shouldn't have been included, but did he really have much of an impact on television? Obviously he has an astounding number of credits in media, but when you rank Christopher Lee's accomplishments, how high is his greatest contribution to television?

Comparatively, if someone like Raymond Burr was not included in an Oscar memoriam one probably wouldn't get that upset, but would be shocked if he was ignored by the Emmys.

reply

Maybe, but he still did some television and he was a very recognized star in the industry as a whole. For this reason I feel he should have been included in the memoriam.

Well I don't watch the emmy awards any more...did they snub Ray Harryhausen too? Just one more reason for me to hate them.

Why can't you wretched prey creatures understand that the Universe doesn't owe you anything!?

reply

Maybe it's because Emmys are for television actors and Christopher Lee was a movie actor.
