Vastly Underrated...

"Michael Keaton is a fast-talking actor, who may be the best in the business at showing you how fast he can think. He projects smartness, he sees all the angles, he sizes up a situation and acts on it while another actor might still be straightening his tie."

--Roger Ebert

Should have won for "Birdman", should have been nominated for "The Paper", "My Life" & "Clean & Sober".

Glad he won the Golden Globe for "Birdman", should have won for "Live From Baghdad" a decade earlier.

Kudo's to the Globe for nominating him back in 1988 btw.

I'm still sketchy on "Spotlight" (Hollywood's radar is still broadcasting from '180 angle decades ago) and childhood + molestation will shine way to much light ("An Open Secret) on 'tinsel town'.

...

It's just all so confusing.

Looking forward to "The Founder" though.

But (again) it's an angry McDonald's [secret] boycott of ABC's annual televised event.

So that probably secludes him as well from any nomination list.

Oh well & go figure?

Roger Ebert nailed it. You can see his mind working every second and that's why I love to watch him. Its for this reason too that I think he's been the best Batman so far. An awesome actor. True Protector of Gotham City.

I agree. He's one of my favorites.

...Keaton is a damn great actor, awards or not. His films have proven that.

Well, there's always "The Founder".

He's the only actor I can think of, where his eyes are completely and fully committed frame by frame into the next scene.

There's nobody like him on the planet. His range from low to high and vice versa is impossible to match.

A walking panic attack!

So good he's scary...

But yes of course, I was hoping he could pick up some 'momentum' into the Oscars for "Spotlight" but that's just not going to happen.

It's a low-key performance, there's no screaming, tongue danging or arms twitching kinda type.

There's also no stand out solo scene.

It's a fine performance for sure and along with the rest of the cast.

But it's just not a STAND OUT (screaming, drooling and flappy arms) type of performance.

So hence, no major awards and no Oscar nomination coming.

Recalibrated,

Michael Keaton is by far the best Batman actor since, Christopher Reeve was casted, as Superman between 1978 to 1987. Michael Keaton beats out Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and Chrstian Bale. The next Batman star who may live up to Michael Keaton's epic portrayal in Tim Burton's 1989, and 1992 films is Academy Award Winner Ben Affleck.

I am already impressed with his portrayal of The Dark Knight in "Batman v Superman:Dawn Of Justice" due to be released by director, Zack Snyder on 3/25/2016 this year.

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Diana Prince wooooooooahhhhhh look out Lynda Carter. Gal Gadot is the new WW.
