Met him today in San Diego

I'm a huge fan of Ed Harris in all the movies he's in, and today, while working my opening shift in the multimedia store I work in, a man walks in wearing a hat and sunglasses. He looked quite familiar and he asked me where our movies are. After telling him they're upstairs, I start to freak out as I realize I was just talking to Ed Harris. So later, he comes back down to exit the store past me again, I gain the courage to ask him if he is Ed Harris and low and behold it is!

I was so nervous the entire time xD He was extremely extremely polite and asked my name and shook my hand and we talked for a short time. Honestly, it would've been absolutely amazing to have taken a picture with him, but I could tell that he really didn't want to be noticed and annoyed by people, so I figured talking to him already was enough of a treat. I must have sounded like an idiot all flustered and smiley, like a school girl xD He told me about how he was filming a movie in a Russian Sub nearby (found out a few minutes ago that movie is the upcoming Phantom).

It was just... so damn awesome. Made my day. Hell, it made my life.

Did any of you guys have the pleasure of meeting this epic man?

I ate pizza and exchanged a brief word with him on the set of What's Wrong with Virginia. I basically asked him for any advice to younger actors, but I'm not forwarding what he told me. Trade secrets ;)

And he is awesome!

EDIT: Byu the way, what movies did he pick up from your store?

How do you like that piece of satire?

Appaloosa, Ironically enough xD But he said it was for a friend of his that hadn't seen it yet.

Sounds like "Sam Goody" in Horton Plaza now torn down. Now I have to catch up to "Phantom." A friend recommended it to me. I liked him in "Beautiful Mind" (required by teacher in Counseling class),"Right Stuff" (He looked like John Glenn", and some other stuff.
