TF4: Hound

I found the toy today, so they are starting to hit.
A- Hound has a BEARD!
B- card art shows a "cigar"?
C- the "transform" is basically flipping the panels the arms and legs are around, and flipping the chest over.

This whole series has had complaints of "too kiddie" and this is NOT helping. The former "transforming" instruction sheet insert is now the cardback and now "Done in 8 steps!" Hardest part was figuring out how the built-in "QUICK DRAW!" gun folded up into the body.

so....another character added to John's extensive toy list (I think he's only behind Frank Welker at this point?), but not worth the $13 I paid, even figuring in recent price increases.

Maybe he could play a voice in the new Finding Dory movie. ; )

so....um, yeah. John was in it.
If you've seen the other Bayformer "movies", you know what to expect except he cranks it up to 12 now that he doesn't have to give Shia some screen time.

and since Hound isn't Optimus or 'Bee, he's barely in it, but does get a featured spot in several scenes. And those Dinobot fans? LAST TWENTY MINUTES, during which Hound defends the humans/city from Mega/Galvatron's new army while everyone else goes into the jungle to get them.

I'm not even sure what the actual F happened in most scenes, because the metal just kept moving and it was often hard to tell what was what, much less who was whom, as usual.

oh, and Optimus can suddenly fly on his own, now, despite needing assistance in the last two movies. ugh.


"bright" spots? besides above city defense, he gets an ALIENS reference, which got a chuckled groan out of me. also, Rainbow Dash.
There's one line right after he's introduced I'm not sure if it was John or 'Bee quoting some movie with a gruff voice?

and JJ Abrams was cinematographer, because there was a LOT of lens flare and cameras pointed at the sun. I should have brought my shades in.

AND of course, I get to sit behind two guys who were constantly active, up and down, talking, and making themselves at home, ignoring anyone else in the world.


ONLY go see this if you're a "fan" of the other Bayformer movies. Otherwise, wait for the rental.
