BUMB if you want Crispin to attend the BTTF reunion this november

Oh yeah.

I can't imagine him NOT being there. He's a very essential character to the movie. Even though he wasn't in the sequels, his presence was "felt", because he's Marty's father.

Was Crispin there?

No he wasn't. I heard from a fellow fan that days earlier someone asked his dad, Bruce Glover, in a class he was teaching if Crispin would be there. Bruce said no, Crispin doesn't associate with those people anymore, they F'd him over on the sequels.

Shame. :(

How did they screw him over?

Far as I know, Crispin was being an ass demanding too much money for the sequels. And because they didn't want to pay him the "exorbitant amount" and they used someone that looked like him, he tried suing them.

Being an artist shouldn't be only about the money. just saying...

Wow it's pretty obvious that Crispin Glover is the furthest things from being all about the money. Just go see his films and shows that he travels around with. Bob Gale and the producers of BTTF are all about the money. That is why they made those stories up. The stories Bob Gale has said on the BTTF DVDs are totally bogus. Crispin has made it clear that Bob Gale's accounts of "negotiation" are fiction. Other people on this board have chimed in on Bob Gale's arrogance. Bob Gale hasn't even worked in the film business since 2004. To right obvious wrongs Crispin made a lawsuit against the production of BTTF 2 because the production made another actor up with prosthetics to make that actor look like Crispin. Woah! Then the production of BTTF 2 inter-spliced a small amount of footage of Crispin from the original film with this other actor in prosthetics to fool audiences in to believing that it was Crispin. Talk about personal rights infringements! Because of Crispin's cool lawsuit there are righteous laws in the Screen Actors Guild now that make it so producers and actors can never do this sort corrupt thing again. Bob Gale was one of the main establishment screwball architects of this mean spirited thing. Bob Gale is hosed and can not take the fact that he did something wrong so he makes up lies about it to attempt to cover up his mistakes and arrogance. Bob Gale did something years ago that if it were repeated would get him in a whole mess of legal trouble now. Robert Zemeckis and Steven Spielberg no longer work with Bob Gale. Now you know why. Bob Gale continues to make wrongs for something he should have cooled his heels and not done years ago. It's karmically tubular. The more Bob Gale makes up negative things about people the more the wave is going to crash back down upon him and the less likely it is he will ever be involved in a cool Hollywood production. Bob Gale is hosing himself so to speak.
