My favourite director ever, but absolutely wrong to put down Alien³

Alien³ was a good movie, great even.. I know many you disagree with that though.

Clearly, the movie is 70% the way it is due to Fincher's directorial style.. he had a minimalist plot and a sandbox to play in and he did great.

The assembly cut isn't that bad, even saw it twice and the movie feels like Fincher, but the film's main issue (besides heavy studio interference) is the script, it meanders more than it should.
