PLEASE give the brown/yellow cinematography a rest!!!

Se7en is his best looking movie because Darius Khondji is a master cinematographer. Every other film Fincher's made looks like *beep* because he seems determined to make them as ugly looking as possible. I'm soo tired of seeing his murky, underlit, washed out photography in shades of yellow, brown and milky blue/white.

Yeah me too. I don't know why he seems obsessed with that weird colour palette with all his movies. Some people probably think it's artistic but there's so much more to art than choosing a particular colour palette and just sticking to it for the whole movie.

I prefer the look of his nineties films. Gotta say that I am glad Gone Girl was shot at a 6K resolution and finished in 5K. I mean, 4K DI isn't even the standard nowadays and he did 5K, in 2014. I love the crystal clear images and while I prefer yellow over white light, I think it's pushed too far. Especially in TSN and Gone Girl. It looked better in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Either way, I don't think Fincher is going to go back to film like ever. I do like the idea of him shooting his future films also in 6K if not 8K. And those being finished in at least 5K lol. I just hope the cinematography is not too much like it makes the image look unnatural. I also hope he shoots more on location.

War, what is it good for?
