A Scene for Jadzia Was Written in DS9 Finale!

I just read an interview with Ira Steven Behr and it said in the original script for the DS9 Finale 'What You Leave Behind' a scene for Jadzia Dax was written but the budget costs for making the episode meant they couldn't afford Terry Farrell. I think this clears up alot of rumours about Terry, she always seemed to get a rough deal for wanting too much money when in fact, Ira states that Terry felt upset that she couldn't appear in the last episode and that he wasn't and isn't happy about Jadzia not being in it either. Its a shame I wanted to see Jadzia back too...

Yeah, it didn't feel right only seeing Ezri in the clips at the end. It would have been great to see her again in the flashback moments, which they could have easily done. Ohhhh well...

Yeah it was really annoying that they didn't show Worf/Jadzia scenes in the end. I mean it is really unrealistic that Worf is leaving the station and he only thinks about Ezri phewww....
I read in a book that Jadzia declined to appear in the last episode, cause she had finished with DS9 once and for all (but not in a negative way...)

No Terry and the producers wanted Jadzia to appear in the last episode, but her schedule on Becker and her cost meant the buget of the last episode couldn't afford her and her scene was rewritten. Terry was dissapointed she couldn't appear, but i guess its all down to hollywood politics and money. I do want Jadzia back though, shes my fave character. I hope she will turn up again in the relaunch novels.

Hi,

there are so much rumours going on, one can hardly tell what's true and what isn't. Jadzia is also my favourite character and I thought her relationship with Worf was one of the best in whole Star Trek. Though I have to admit that Ezri is an interesting character as well, she can't keep up with Jadzia.

Did we ever meet Kurzon? I have seen most of DS9, but was he in TNG? If not how can you say she is Kurzon lite? You cant really say she doesnt have a personality just cause she has some of Kurzon's traits. Ezri was nothing like Jadzia, even after she was joined. I realley liked the Jadzia character and was sorry to see her killed off. It would be nice if they could find some way to bring her back.

I agree, i would love to see Jadzia back in the relauch novels. Like it or not she was a main character on the show for six years and Ezri was only there for 1 year. I would much rather see Jadzia back than read about Ezri, as cool a character as she was, she just didn't kick ass like Jadzia did...
