One of the greatest Hollywood Composers.

and sadly overlooked by critics. Can you imagine: No Oscar, not even a Golden Globe for Elfman yet. He Had deserved it for so many Projects.
-Beetlejuice
-Edward Scissordhands
-Nightmare before Christmas
-Batman
-Batman Returns
-Sleepy Hollow
-Alice in Wonderland

And then look at Gustavo Santaolalla getting two Oscars in a row for Brokeback Mountain and Babel. Sirious? Elfman is a longtime overlooked composer. Anybody knows why? Did he have
some problems with the important people in Hollywood?

I love Nightmare Before Christmas, but I find his soundtrack for Batman Returns to be highly derivative of the former. I get that Returns is set during Christmas, but the Christmas-y vignettes sound like they've been recycled from Nightmare. Another reason why Returns is so overrated.

I loved his score for Epic (2013)!
