Why no love for Pennywise?

A picture of Pennywise just popped up on Google, and it made me come to Tim Curry's message board, LOL.

But Seriously, why doesn't he ever acknowledge his role in "Stephen King's IT" as Pennywise the Clown? It's perhaps his second most recognized role aside from Rocky Horror.

I'm sure he has acknowledge it in the past. Unless he ask about it in an interview, Tim can't really say something like "IT that TV movie I made 23 years ago let's talk about that.."
From the odd bits I've read/remember (I was already Tim fan when IT came out). It wasn't a great shoot for him. He was away from the other actors most of the time and the make-up was horrible and took ages.

Funny Columbia75, maybe his discomfort aided in his performance. Pennywise was pi**ed.

Yeah, Tim's played a lot of villains, but to me, Pennywise the Dancing Clown is by far the darkest and most profound villain he's ever played in his career.

Pennywise was the scariest character, but Darkness in "Legend" was his coolest villain role ever!

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."
