James Cromwell, Christian Bale, Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman keep popping up in lots of different films often playing very different characters. The reason is simple; they're brilliant, genre-defining actors. As long as they continue to do great work I have no problem seeing them in almost any film.

How is he annoying? He'd only be annoying if he was an overrated, mediocre actor, which he isn't.
