I'm sad that the Potter movies have taken this unspoken vow of 'No Americans'. I always pictured Cromwell as Dumbledore when I read, and I think he would have been perfect for the part.

I think you must be a Yank like me, TheWumberlog. So for the sake of clarity: Great Britain comprises England, Scotland and Wales. Ireland is not a part of Great Britain or the United Kingdom. But Northern Ireland is a part of the United Kingdom.
This was all explained to me by an Englander several years ago - in the course of explaining that it is particularly insulting to the Irish to call them Brits. They fought a war to remove that label.
