A vegan in a horse racing movie?

I find it odd that Mr. Cromwell, a vegan who frequently speaks out on issues regarding animal cruelty for PETA, appears in a movie about horse racing. Am I the only one?

(For the record, I'm not judging. I just find it confusing.)

Anthony Hopkins protrayed Hannibal Lecter but I don't think hes pro-cannibalism.

Were they advocating eating horse meat? Most race horses was pretty well cared for-better than a lot of children!
