Other roles who were great movies or maybe was nominated for a oscar??

he hates roles as a villain and movies who has to much violence for example he rejected a role as a villain for the movie Demolition Man Stallone called him for this role but he said no and Wesley Snipes was than the villain

I heard that Michael Keaton has called him for a role as a villain in Batman but he said no Hmm maybe as the Penguin(Danny de Vito)

i am sure Director's like Tarantino(jackie Chan Fan) have offered him a role but hes has rejected you know how violent tarantino movies are lol

That is maybe the reason why he is not in big movies, you really think that no one great director has called him? come on he is a legend and many loves Jackie Chan..that's just his decision and i hope movies like the Foreigner(with Director from Casino Royal)will change his mind to make more serious and violent movies with good directors

He's not in truly great movies because he's not that great an actor. He's the best action star of all time but is pretty average in the dramatic stakes.

Rather than appear in a really great movie, I'd rather he appears in a really great action movie that shows is action credentials more than his acting ones.

Actually it's saddening how he missed a lot of opportunities just maintain his child friendly image I don't even like.

They wanted him to play the Japanese bad guy in Black Rain, also was offered the Lethal Weapon 4 role. Now, Jet was brilliant in LW4, but he would've been brilliant too. What a pity.

Now it's too late for roles like that.

actually I've heard he never plays villains because he is superstitious about it. Thinks it would be bad luck or something.
