now that bryan singer left the franchise i think burton is a very good director for make them. and after the bad response of x-men apocalypse he could make these movies good again, that would be so fricking amazing

Also he wouldn't even try to, because (though he did two Batman movies) he's not a big fan of comics and also he's not interested in sequels or else in movie "series". So fortunately there isn't even a threat of this happening.

burton unfortuantely now has the touch of death... alice could of been a beautifully vibrant yet dark wonderland.. almost like a twisted opposite of burtons usual darker colour palates like in scissor hand and sweeny todd.

Well, I don't think he had full control over Alice. It's been a Disney production, don't forget. I guess it's been less expensive that way for them. I mean they have their own CGI workers (getting paid what ever they get, but certainly less than a freelance crew would have billed).
And talking Bonham Carter's "over acting" : have you noticed that in almost EVERY Burton movie characters tend to act more, well, theatrical? And in the Alice case I don't see why the Red Queen should be less cartoon- ish than for example Willy Wonka was or perhaps Beetlejuice.

Well, looks like I'm alone here, but I'd love to see a Burton X-Men film. If he did it, though, it should be a reboot/alternate universe thing with all-original actors. Most importantly: they'd have to let him pick his own X-Men team OR design his own from the ground-up. Get that Burton weirdness flowing.
X-Men is a story about outsiders and weirdos trying to fit in, failing, and then trying to find an equilibrium in the world anyway. They build their own special places in the cracks of the "normals". It's perfect Burton realm; maybe even moreso than Batman was...
It would also - or at least, could also - pump some well need voltage into the superhero genre, which is getting staler and more tired by the minute. They all look and sound the same for crying out loud! Unleashing Burton's zaniness into the mix would be a breath of fresh air! That's only if they gave him free license to really cut loose and didn't try to make him toe any lines.
Which is where it would fall apart. The studios have such carefully-curated formulae for their super-franchises that they'd never let Burton truly shine. But if they did, it could be GREAT.
