Any relation to 7 of 9?

That name can't be a coincidence.

reply

Are you that stupid?

reply

I am.

reply

ok, you're joking. But there are people out there....

reply

Do those people frighten you?

Do they haunt your dreams?

Do you look over your shoulder at night to make sure they aren’t following you?

Do you scour every thread in this site asking people if they’re stupid so you can flush them out?

Was that task assigned to you by some paranoid conspiracy group or did god himself assign it to you?

Just a dopey Star trek reference on my part

reply

Holy shit, I came here to make this joke and you beat me to it by a year.

reply

The OP is clearly a man of incredible taste and unrivaled wit! Probably very handsome too.

^ ^ ^
We found the alt account for Moonglum9

reply

Nah, he would have added "hung like a bear" if it was actually glummy's sock account..

reply

Touche

reply

I would cleverly leave out “Koala” and thus technically not be lying.

reply

I’ve been telling people that since I came back in my new incarnation of CG Willy

reply

So the big question then, is who did you post as in between the last post of Moonglum9 (8 months ago) and the start of CG Willy (3 months ago)?

reply

No one. I mostly post at work, and there was a period where I wasn’t able to loaf around as much last year, and when I came back, I didn’t want to spoil the 8888 post count.

reply

Perfect.

reply

You spoiled the 8888 post count.

reply

i don't get it

reply

7 of 9 from Star Trek is a Borg. This man's name is Borgnine. Surely that's not just coincidence.

reply

And Ernest Borgnine was alive LONG before Star Trek or even the Borg, let alone Seven of Nine.

Maybe... maybe the Star Trek writers were INSPIRED by his surname?

or, maybe... bear with me here... it's just a lame, dumb joke that appeals to a very narrow crowd with a particular sense of humor?

reply

Well I’m proud to be part of that crowd. I got it right away.

And with the millions of Trek fans out there is it really “narrow”?

reply

What I mean is the humor of the joke appeals to a narrow crowd, not that Star Trek fans are a narrow crowd.

reply

Good one. Stealing it. 😄

reply

his character in Black Hole encounters an early version of the borg

reply

I thought you switched accounts at 8888 posts?

Now you have 11k+ WTF?

reply

I ended up returning a couple of years ago cuz I just couldn't not be Moonglum anymore. Why fight nature?

reply

But if you will notice, I ended my Crabgrass Willy posting at 1616 which is basically (8+8)(8+8).

reply

Ooh. This is good.
