shareWhat, people are not allowed to age? It is supposed to be a few years later, and she's had a kid and all that. I can personally vouch for the fact that it is easier to have washboard abs in your twenties than in your forties. And she's 56!
I thought she was great. I cracked up seeing her driving the armored car, looking for all the world like a demented soccer mom. Too bad they didn't have cell phones in the 1950s--it would have completed the look!
I didn't think she looked bad, in fact I thought she and Harrison Ford both looked really good in this movie considering the time that has passed since the first one. It didn't ruin Marion for me, it made her relationship with Indy seem deeper considering how long it took them to finally be together.
shareYou, sir, are a class A jackass. You DO realize it's been 27 years since Raiders, and she IS supposed to be older- she's not trying to play her 30 year old self. She's a woman in her 50's- it's not exactly a walk on the beach to have the same body you did 27 years ago- ESPECIALLY when you're past 40, let alone 50.
She looked fantastic, and everyone in the theater immediately recognized her as being the same woman we saw in Raiders in 1981 (well, audiences. I wasnt born in 1981)- and there is NOTHING wrong with her body or hair. You're the kind of pig that makes the rest of us guys look bad, you know that? I bet GOOD money you wont look anywhere near as good when you're her age. Good money. Wahh, wahh, but I'm not an actor so I have an excuse. Nice excuse, lazy jerkoff. Classic american.
I think she looked great, a total MILF.
shareI thought she looked really good although she was a little thicker. Read that she had practiced and taught yoga for years and was in shape from that. Harrison was looking much older and I was glad that Marion was his love interest again instead of some chick young enough to be his granddaughter.
I thought the action was good in the movie but missed them having much personal time together. Action is great, but I like the characters. Think that the Indy/Marion reunion in Raiders was some great sparring but the quiet scenes shopping in the market before the attack and especially the scene with Marion giving Indy first aid on the boat were really touching and gave you an idea about their relationship. Think the boat scene was one of the most romantic scenes ever...until Indy falls asleep. In Crystal Skull you just get Indy calling her Honey and throwing kind of a stale line of "(the other women) weren't you." Also think the Henry Sr/Indy scenes in Crusades were part of what made that movie interesting.
Just wish they'd given Karen more of a chance to show the Indy/Marion relationship.
Bullsh!t. Just because we are used to seeing botoxed freaks refusing to age, it doesn't mean it should be this way. She looked healthy, happy and above all, natural. It's comments like yours that put pressure on people to try and slow down the ageing process - there is nothing wrong with growing old - and if an actress can do it with grace rather than surgery, then good for her...
