She would have made a great Lois Lane

She would have been a much better Lois Lane than Margot Kidder.

I'm just glad they didn't give Stockard Channing the job. Apparently she was the hot runner for the role. But I like Margot, I could also see Karen doing the role, but she was a little too young in my opinion. Too youthful looking back in 1978, compared to a more independent mature Kidder.

Yeah I also think Margot was good as Lois Lane and she and Reeve had good chemistry. At least films 1 and 2 were huge hits and she got good reviews. I wonder if any criticism of Margot is based on her later mental breakdowns? I never cared for Stockard Channing's looks at all even if she was a good actress or not so that's one of those fortunate things she wasn't cast. I wouldn't have had a problem with Allen but I can see how her youthfulness might have worked against her. Lois Lane did seem to be a more mature independent career working gal type.
