It's there a little in Scrooged, but quite strong in Starman. Her accent seems to have a hint of something eastern. German/French - I can't quite place it.

I think its a mixture of a Midwestern accent and an Boston accent. Like for example, you can tell in how she says certain words.

I know exactly what you mean, it's strange in Starman. But she was practically depressed and said her lines solemnly in it so...I'm confused. I remember seeing Scrooged and I can't remember really remember her, let alone her accent. Was she the one that ran the homeless shelter?
I just watched it again last night. Yes, she's the one who runs the homeless shelter.
