The Audience Applauded!

When Karen Allen came onto the screen in the Crystal Skull the audience burst into applause! That is how much she has been missed and it was great to see her back in the Indiana Jones movies. I hope that Miss Allen will continue to be seen in A-list movies from now on. KAREN ALLEN FOREVER!!!!

It was so great to see her. To see Indiana Jones on the big screen again and hear the famous theme song was a great feeling. And to see Karen reprise her role was just awesome. Not sure how to do one of those "spoiler" warnings but let me say I loved her role and how it played out.

Uh, man *cringe*. Was this audience American by any chance?

the audience applauded in my theatre too, both times. she was definantly missed. im glad shes back.

Djaq:Now Im saving you
Alan:but were men and youre a woman
Djaq:Irritating, isnt it?

My audience was thrilled too.

I'm curious why someone asked if the audience applauding Allen was American. Is she just loathed in Lichtenstein or something?

reply

Same here. Everyone in the audience erupted in applause when Karen appeared. A really nice moment...

I saw it at a sold out show the night it came out in Seattle and she got a pretty faint smattering of applause but certainly far from the whole audience. Not much reaction to anything else in the movie except another small bit of clapping when they kissed at the end. Times have changed just the appearance of the Spielberg and Lucas(film) names at the beginning of their films would get excited big reactions. I think many in the audiences for Indy4 are a new generation not that familiar with Raiders and the other two sequels 20 years ago. Anticipation was much higher for anything Spielberg or Lucas after Jaws and Star Wars came out many moons ago. It does tell you something though when Karen Allen got the biggest audience reaction.

yah. that girls are better! ;) i think that the person asked if the audience was american because americans tend to clap and everything. like i went to a really bad rendition of copellia where none of the dancers could do first position to save tier lives and the audience got a standing ovation. nothing against americans, coz i am one, its just our standards are a little low. but ms. allen deserved the applause. k i'll shut up now.

Nice of the dancers to give the audience a standing ovation that doesn't happen too often. (-:
