Moonrise Kingdom

Finally got around to watching it on Netflix, and fell in love with it. Beautiful film.

I'm not the biggest Bruce Willis fan, but I really enjoyed him in this. He was subtle, funny, and carried over the tones and themes of melancholy the film was going for quite well. He brought a lot to the movie, something I didn't expect, and I think it was one of his best performances. Made me appreciate him as an actor, (I'm just hoping he isn't as much a jerk as I've heard from various sources; he seemed like a nice guy from what I saw in his performance and interviews for the movie).

Anyways, he did a fantastic job and I wish he'd get more roles like this in the future, maybe gravitate away from the washed up action genre.

Agree that he can be a good actor if he tries. Problem is, he so rarely tries these days.

"Moonrise Kingdom" and "Looper" are the last decent projects he's been associated with and stand out in that sea of crap he's been pumping out for the last 15 years or so.
