I finally watched Shooter

and still wonder why a felon is handling real firearms when by law just holding one should net him a year long sentence.

I've read that Wahlberg only uses "fake" prop guns therefor he isn't committing any crime.

But in Shooter, the scenes with the M82 Barrett were with a real Barrett. Why do I think this? If it was a prop gun after each round fired there would be no need to manually cycle the action as they did. A blank .50BMG doesn't provide the needed recoil to load another round. Hence the manual cycling.

If it was a prop gun I don't think the director would have bothered showing the cycling. There wouldn't have been any from just a non-firing model.

One rule for those with money, another for those in jail.

You are scraping the barrel now. Sad.

Don't think there's a statute of limitations for prosecuting a felon with a gun.

Wahlberg is pretty stupid to provide the photographic evidence a DA could decide to charge him with.

So, Wahlberg's scraping the bottom of his own barrel.

It was a movie!
Had there been an offence, MW would have been jumped on long before the film hit the screens.
Don't you think for even a second the director and studio would have thought this through well before shooting started? Duh!
Btw, that chip on your shoulder - not too attractive.
