She ought to know since she herself seems to be a racist. I bet if Mark offered her some money she would be kissing his "racist" arse. I would love to talk to some people in her life and see what a "saint" she was growing up and even now.

"In the 1980s, he'd probably be lynched and murdered." Racist murders do happen, but 'tis a bit strong to say "probably".

And heeeeere we go Associated Press is going to turn this into a White on Black Martin Luther the King fiasco. I can see it now Wahlberg inviting Obama over to Wahlburgeres for free Barack burgers named after him and getting his pardon. Wahlberg could have attacked and blinded a dozen Asian men and it wouldn't be a hate crime till he pissed off some Black lady.

I get that being a black defendant is virtually always a disadvantage. I'm just trying to convey that millions of Americans would not in fact want to lynch the guy. Not all whites were, say, swayed by Willie Horton commercials.
