He Has Not Taken Full Responsibility

[on George Michael being sent to prison for driving under the influence of drugs] I was 16 when I went to prison but he's been busted a couple of times. He should get a driver or go to Amsterdam where pot is legal. But my heart goes out anyone who goes to prison. I pray for him.

In April 1988, Mark Wahlberg, 16, set upon a Vietnamese immigrant named Thanh Lam, and, with a wooden stick, beat him so severely that Lam fell to the ground, unconscious. Later that night, according to contemporaneous accounts, Wahlberg found another Asian man, Hoa Trinh, and, calling him a *beep* and "slant eye," smashed him in the face.

Trinh lost sight in his right eye.

Wahlberg was arrested, convicted, and spent 45 days in jail, an experience that hardened him for the rest of his younger days and provided him creative fodder for many of his later projects. He has insisted that, despite his liberal use of racial slurs, race did not motivate his attack. His intoxication, apparently, did.

After being brought to the scene on the first charge, Wahlberg told officers, “You don’t have to let him identify me, I’ll tell you now that’s the *beep* whose head I split open” and apparently made several remarks regarding *beep* and “slant-eyed *beep* during police proceedings. For his crimes he spent 45 days in a correctional facility.

Wahlberg is despicable. He's never apologized to these men, never reached out, never compensated the families . He has, however, sought a MA pardon of the racial assaults so he can open up more hamburger restaurants. He's currently prohibited from opening in the state due to his felony record.

I love it. The old intoxication excuse used by many celebrities like Mel Gibson. Like I've said many times before, alcohol doesn't make you say things you don't mean. If anything, they it breaks down your ability to lie and makes you say exactly what's on your mind. That why businessmen enjoy taking clients out to lunch or dinner. Getting a couple drinks in them is the best way to find out about your clients and discover what they're really after or what kind of asset or liability they may be to your company.

Yes it sounds like Marky Mark had an issue with Asians at one time. Maybe he changed and is more tolerant of other cultures or maybe he just stopped drinking.
