Mark is a genuine good guy, the "racist/criminal"-label is obsolete.

He's been trying to make amends ever since.

In my view, he has done so successfully.

Those two Vietnamese men he attacked way back when... Is it possible that Mark has tried to make amends, tried to do right by them later down the road but might have been blatantly dismissed by them ? Well, I wouldn't blame them for that, but I'm 100 percent sure that Mark would do anything possible to right his wrongs against them if ever given the chance.

Some people say that he's a "brutal thug and needs to rot in jail" and whatnot...

Mark is a good guy. If you're a hater, maybe you should look yourself in the mirror. Chances are you're a lot worse than he ever was.

EDIT : Maybe quite a few folks on here were interpreting what I've stated (and still stand by) as a "petition" for a pardon in favour of Mark. I never said that he necessarily should be pardoned, even though he's no longer a street-thug.

It is time this matter was laid to rest as it all took place over 25 years ago.
We will never know what MW has done to right his wrong, if anything, but that is and should remain a matter between his own conscience and in the God in whom he believes, and his parish priest. It would be unseemly to reveal publicly what has been offered, accepted or refused.

We have all made mistakes in Life, done things we would not do now or said things it would have been better not said, but once a wrong has been done and a price paid, we must not let that one slip harm us or anyone else, forever and a day.
For those who seek continuing punishment seems to me to be breaking all the teachings of any of our major religions.

Wahlberg did deliberate/willful actions then, not "mistakes."

..........smacking someone in the face is a good way to get your point across now. YOU HYPOCRITE LOSER YOU......ahhhhh hahahahahaha.......

There are different degrees of mistakes. Nearly killing 1 person by whacking him in the head with a baseball bat and permanently blinding another person in 1 eye are no small mistakes.

Show me the holes!

Even the best of us go around beating up minorities and permanently blinding our accomplices avoiding the police, right? The OP must be some fellow Southie who thinks it's normal to act in this manner. Man those idiots up in Boston are a bunch of screwed up psychos!
