Got huge respect for her work as co-producer on The Quick and The Dead

Just been reading about the making on this film on Wikipedia. If what it says is true, she was responsible for the hiring of both Sam Raimi as director (saying she'd only make the film with him, despite his being better known for cult hits rather than A-movies) and of the film's two supporting male stars, the relatively-unknown Russell Crowe (in his first American film) and Leonardo DiCaprio. She even paid DiCaprio's salary herself as the studio was so unsure about him!

She insisted on three guys who went to (respectively) direct the Spider Man trilogy, win a Best Actor Oscar and become the biggest teen icon of the 1990s. We now know she lied about joining Mensa. But she clearly had a brain to insist on those three decisions!
