Yes, because the Dalai Lama is such an awesome person. So awesome in fact that if Tibet ever got away from direct Chinese control, or went back to being a suzerainty, would re-institute the priest class. In which there's the monks at the top, then everyone else at the bottom. Where they're treated as no better than slaves. *beep* the Dalai Lama.
