It's SO easy to say "Leo DiCaprio is a great actor and Sylvester Stallone is an awful actor"

Don't you all see the fucking irony here? Everyone, and I mean literally everyone, says "use your own judgement, don't go with the hype and the mainstream " and STILL... it is a safe opinion to say "DiCaprio is the best actor working today" and that "Stallone is an awful actor".

But let me all get you all out of your delusional states: DiCaprio is highly overrated and has done no more than five great performances TOP. All right, TOP. I don't even think personally that he was great in any other movies than Django Unchained, The Departed and The Aviator. But... okay... objectively... maybe he two other great performances. Dustin Hoffman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Edward Norton and Christian Bale: THESE guys make Leo look like if he just quit kindergarten and tries to act among true tallents. He is insecure, overhyped and totally not worth of this level of acting.

On another hand, let's get to Sylvester Stallone. Oh wow, how easy and safe to just say that he is an awful actor. Let's ignore the fact that he has half pf his face paralyzed and STILL is a THREE TIMES Academy award nominee. Of course he didn't help himself with his doubtful career due to all his really bad choices. But awful actor?? Fucking please. Steven Seagal, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, etc. THESE are awful actors, and in no fucking way is Stallone at their level. Just Cop Land and Creed are prime proofs that he isn't.

So my bottom line is not that Stallone is actually a better actor than DiCaprio (even though I personally (FUCKING PERSONALLY in the case that some morons want to use it against me) think he IS better), but it is more about this: the general public is filled withsuch a two-faced hypocritical fucking morons who only go for what is considered good and bash for what is considered bad.

I have done studies in movies, so it is not like if I was ignorant and talking out of my ass. Plus, I love both DiCaprio and Stallone. But hearing ignorant fucking morons say that DiCaprio is a great actor while Stallone is an awful actor... I've had pretty much enough of it. It is BULLSHIT. It is all about reputation and don't even try to say otherwise.

So, start to ACTUALLY use your own judgement and fucking stop to say that DiCaprio is the fucking king of acting while other actors of his fucking generation are 100 times better. Put aside those I've already named: Joaquin Phoenix and Jake Gyllenhal, for instance, are WAY better than him.

And other bottom line: Fuck you Oscars... you only go for the hype and punish deserving people. DiCaprio did deserve an Oscar... but not for The Revenant. BUT... Stallone actually deserved it for Creed. My two cents....

So what I'm getting here is you think Stallone is a better actor than DiCaprio, and are *really* p!ssed off at anyone who thinks the opposite. Because if that's what they think, it must be because they're hypocritical two-faced morons who can't think for themselves.

FWIW, I've never seen anyone say DiCaprio is the best working actor today. I think he's good, but wouldn't say he's the best.

Stallone, well, I liked him in the original Rocky.

I don't think Leo is the best actor out there, but I do think that he has more range than Stallone. I'm not knocking Stallone. He has written and directed some pretty popular movies, which is something Leo hasn't done. But as an actor, I think he's just okay.

I'm still angry that the Academy ignored Cobra and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.

I wouldn't say he's an awful actor. He's certainly underrated as an actor.

Copland is the usual example held up when people question his acting talent and he was good in that. He's even been good in some of his action movies... it's just that the genre doesn't lend itself to 'respectability'.

I still remember that scene in Rocky II where he goes to see Adrian at the hospital. She's in a coma and he starts to talk to her in his punch-drunk Rocky way and then slowly starts to break down into tears. Man, that scene just crushed me.

Yeah, me too. I think this scene had so much emotion. Just like this scene in the factory in Rocky Balboa.

Yes Stallone has not done so many great movies, but he, sure as hell, has done some powerfully emotional scenes.

I'll take Stallone. Leo would never dedicate himself to a role the way Stallone does. The stories of his training and intensity behind the scenes of his films are insane.

Like someone else basically said already, Sly has chosen a lot of roles that are Meat Head action figures. I have nothing against Stallone if he chooses a good project. Cap has done a lot of thoughtful films SS couldn't touch. They are completely different performers. I don't think anyone cares who the "better actor" is. I want to see a good, thoughtful movie, and Sly has made too many that are jokes.

I did like Cliffhanger and Cop City, or whatever that movie was named. He's o-k, just made too many action films with little substance. And maybe Leo ain't that great either. It's all subjective.

Meh. I like them both.
