Everything with his name attached suddenly became "a Steven Spielberg movie"

Thanks to Spielbo great names like Brian Levant, Barry Sonnenfeld, Martin Campbell, Joe Dante, Brad Silberling, Matthew Robbins, Richard Benjamin, Frank Marshall, Richard Donner, Tobe Hooper, Barry Levinson and even Robert Zemeckis remain in the obscurity outside US.

Exactly. I think the biggest victim of this false advertisements was Robert Zemeckis. Lots of people until now think Back to the Future movies were a Spielberg movies.
